DETROIT – Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that solves the murder of a 28-year-old Detroit man who worked with youth.

Isiah Hunt was shot and killed May 29 on Detroit's west side.

The incident took place early in the morning in the 15000 block of Rockdale near Lahser and Fenkell Streets.

Hunt was getting into his vehicle at his home when he saw an unknown person approaching him. The gunman shot when he tried to run back to his home.

Hunt had just recently lost his job at a daycare but continued his career with children, working at the Lincoln Boys Home as a Youth Specialist. His son, Jayceon, was born two months after his death.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.

If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight Thursday, there is an additional $1,000 reward. Anyone who has information regarding the crime should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587.
