LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. – South Oakland Shelter (SOS) is proud to announce that its 5th annual Big Boy "Dancing with the Detroit Stars" event will be held Saturday, November 23rd, commencing at 7 PM at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. Metro Detroit media personalities and other local celebrities will pair up with professional dancers for a spectacular Celebrity Dance Competition. Proceeds from the event will benefit homeless men, women, and children who receive care and assistance each year at South Oakland Shelter. Last year, Dancing with the Detroit Stars raised a record $114,000!

Join Master of Ceremonies Paul W. Smith from News/Talk WJR 760, TV Personality Lila Lazarus, Nicole and Norman Yatooma, Tara and Dr. Steve Grekin of the Grekin Skin Institute, Victoria Liggett from Big Boy Restaurants, Nikki Serras of Scavolini by Cucina Moda, and Rod Alberts from the Detroit Automobile Dealers Association. The event is co-chaired by Jennie and Bill Cook along with Motown Recording Artist KEM!
