BERKLEY, Mich. – Berkley's Rogers Elementary School was evacuated Monday afternoon due to a gas leak on school property.
Students were taken to nearby Berkley High School. All of them are safe.

Parents can pick their children up at the high school auditorium.
The high school is at Catalpa Drive and Coolidge highway.
Consumers Energy says school workers hit gas line
Consumers Energy spokeswoman Debra Dodd said workers for the school were digging behind the building when they hit a gas service line leading to the school. Dodd said the workers did not check with the Miss Dig system before starting their work.
Berkley police say the workers were installing a new fence.
Consumers Energy crews are repairing the broken line.
