Holley was arrested late this afternoon on California Street. He is being held in the Oakland County Jail.
Officers arrived at a home after a caller told them someone had been shot. They found Hardin in the basement suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say that an argument between the two men led to Holley pulling out a handgun, chasing, and shooting Hardin. Holley fled the home on foot.
Holley has had numerous contacts with law enforcement in the past, including a 2001 bank robbery conviction for which he served five years in prison. He was removed from parole in 2010.
