FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit man accused of killing a Farmington hills party store owner over the weekend has been in and out of jail since the late 80's.Le 43-year old Leroy Nettles faces six criminal counts for the murder of Duraid Lossia.
Nettles was arraigned Tuesday on the following charges:
Count 1: Homicide – Felony Murder, a felony punishable by life without parole
Count 2: Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, a felony punishable by 2 years    Â
Count 3:Â Robbery Armed, punishable by life or any term of years
Count 4:Â Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, a felony punishable by 2 years
Count 5:Â Weapon- Firearms- Possession by a felon, a felony punishable by 5 years
Count 6: Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, punishable by 2 years     Â
Nettles is being held in the Oakland County jail without bond. A preliminary exam has been scheduled for January 3 at 8:30 a.m.
Nettles has served time for drug dealing and armed robbery in the past . He was released from prison just over two years ago for robbing someone while using a deadly weapon.
Police will only say that a very small amount of money was taken during the robbery. Nettles is not believed to have been a regular customer.
