DETROIT – The U.S. Postal Service is hosting a free document shredding event in Southfield on Saturday.
The public is invited to bring up to four boxes of documents that need to be shredded to the Southfield Public Library from 10am to 3pm.

Examples of documents that should be shredded are: credit card statements, tax documents, bills with account numbers on them and any confidential health paperwork.
Metal, plastic items and documents from a business will not be accepted for shredding.
Customers who wish to drop off their documents for shredding will be directed to enter the shredding area. Paper items stored in boxes or containers and be ready for quick drive-up and drop-off.
