POINT EDWARD, Ontario – The Canada Border Services Agency seized over 123 kilograms of suspected cocaine concealed in a pickup truck last Tuesday.
The CBSA says that the truck arrived at Blue Water Bridge and was referred for a secondary examination. A detector dog found suspected narcotics during that search, and the truck was found to contain 105 packages of suspected cocaine.

"The illicit drug trade poses a serious threat to the safety and security of our communities," said acting district commander, Inspector Todd Gilmore. "We will continue to diligently work with our partners to stop these drugs from entering our communities and bring those responsible before justice."
The two occupants of the truck and the packages were turned over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, which arrested and charged the two men. The Stoney Creek men were charged with:
- Importation of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Conspiracy to Import a Controlled Substance
All of these offenses fall under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code.
Both men are currently in custody and expected to have a hearing in the Sarnia Courthouse on May 16.
