ROMULUS, Mich. – Detroit Metro Airport said several runways reopened Saturday, and airplanes are now arriving and taking off from the airport.
DTW tweeted traffic was still slowly moving across the field Saturday morning.
Crews were working on the runway conditions.
Officials said the runways were treated Friday night in anticipation of the ice storm, but slippery conditions still made them unusable.
A Delta flight successfully landed on the A2 gate runway Saturday, but slid off the runway.
The incident resulted in all flights being shut down at the airport.
No passengers were injured and they were taken off the plane.
