BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police say one person is dead and another is in critical condition Friday after a car accident on Michigan Avenue near Arkona Road in Bridgewater Township.
The man killed in the accident is 33-year-old Chad Hilborn, a Washtenaw County corrections officer.
The accident happened at 7:38 a.m., and Michigan Avenue has been closed between Arkona and Willow Roads since. There's no word on when that area will be reopened.
The injured person was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital in a helicopter.
Investigations have been turned over to Michigan State Police.
