Authorities say the man was found lying outside on the ground. It's unclear if the man was ejected from the pickup truck or if he was standing outside and was hit.

He was taken to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car that hit the truck was treated at the hospital and released.

Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the accident.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Shelby Township police at 586-731-2121.
