WIXOM, Mich. – A 31-year-old woman shot another woman at an apartment complex in Wixom early Sunday morning, according to police.
The incident happened at the Village Apartments on Tamarack Drive near West Pontiac Trail and Beck Road around 2 a.m. It happened in building #21.
The 22-year-old victim was shot multiple times. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The reason behind the shooting is still being investigating.
The gunwoman fled the scene, but later turned herself in to police in Walled Lake.
A gun was recovered from the scene.
Police are expected to present their case to prosecutors Monday morning.
Neighbors in building #21 tell Local 4 they're concerned about the shooting and what they describe as an uptick in crime at the complex.
