DETROIT – When Judge Vonda Evans revoked William Melendez's bond Thursday, his wife stormed out of the courtroom.
A clearly agitated Evans ordered her back.
"Why would you storm out of my court? Don't do my courtroom like that!" said Evans.

The judge said she was acting childish after her husband was found guilty of assault and misconduct. He will be sentenced on Dec. 3.
Melendez's wife had nothing to say when she left the courthouse. Defense attorney Jim Thomas said they will appeal and the now incarcerated former Inkster police officer is doing as well as can be expected.
"Very reserved. Yeah, he's very reserved. Obviously sad. You can tell that. And listen, these things aren't easy," said Thomas.
Video shows Melendez beating motorist Floyd Dent during a traffic stop in Inkster. Dent watched the jury announce their verdict at home on a live feed. He was too afraid to go to court.
Dent settled a lawsuit against the city of Inkster and was paid $1.3 million.
"I told Floyd a long time ago to let the system work for you, and it did," said Dent's attorney, Greg Rohl. "He feels elated by the outcome. He's happy that everyone stood by him."
Meanwhile, Melendez could face anywhere from probation to 10 years in prison for his convictions. Legal expert Niel Rockind said the judge revoking bond and locking him up sends a strong message.
"He is going to prison. That's what it tells me. He's going to prison. It's unusual for a judge after a guilty verdict to remand somebody," said Rockind.
