DETROIT – Imams from across metro Detroit are speaking out against the attacks in Paris.
At a time when their faith appears under attack, they made it clear that ISIS doesn't represent them.
"We condemn in the strongest terms such acts of terrorism that take the lives of innocent people," said Imam Abdul-Razzak of the Michigan Muslim Community Council.
It was a call to action that extended to a recent and controversial decision by Gov. Snyder.
Last week, the Republican governor announced Michigan would postpone plans to accept Syrian refugees.
There have been growing fears that terrorists would be posing as refugees as a way to enter the United States.
This group says refugees undergo years of background checks and interviews.
