INKSTER, Mich. – Police are questioning several people after shots rang out early Tuesday morning in an Inkster apartment, striking two men.
Police said there were at least six people - including a young child - in an apartment in the Cherry Hill Club apartment complex when there was a knock on the apartment door around 3:30 a.m.
When the door was opened, someone fired shots into the apartment.
One man was hit in the arm and is expected to be OK.
Another man was hit in the abdomen and is undergoing surgery.
Police said the victims do not live at the apartment complex and were visiting relatives. No other information about the victims was immediately released.
The only description police gave of the shooter is this: man, 18-20 years old, caramel colored skin, thin build with a light mustache. He was wearing a red sweatshirt or jacket with a logo on the left chest. Police said the shooting does not appear random.
