DETROIT – Police are looking for a man they are calling “armed and dangerous” after a 30-year-old man was shot and robbed Thursday afternoon at a gas station on Detroit’s west side.
The shooting happened at 2:30 p.m. at the Clark gas station at West Davison Street and Dexter Avenue.
The victim was shot three times and was robbed of his gold chain. He remains in critical condition.
“This guy is very methodical and determined in the way he perpetrated that crime, so he presents a very grave danger to the citizens of Detroit,” Capt. Nick Kyriacou said.
Witnesses said the shooter winked at them as he walked away.
The shooter was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 pounds and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and gray baggy pants. He left the gas station in a tan Impala.
It appears the man has a pigment discoloration on his left hand.
Police said it appears to be a random shooting and stressed that the shooter is “armed and dangerous.”
