LANSING, Mich. – A 38-year-old Inkster man will spent the next 20 to 40 years in prison after he was convicted on five felonies for running a prostitution ring across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette on Monday announced the sentence for Jahan Satati Green, who was convicted in March on several counts of prostitution and one count of conducting a criminal enterprise. He was sentenced as a third felony offender.

Schuette's office said an investigation into Green found that Green had orchestrated an online "escort" operation beginning in 2006. In his prostitution operation, Green prostituted and assaulted two victims in particular. Green assaulted one of the young victims for six years.

He also transported or arranged for transportation of the young victims to Detroit-area hotels. Green then forced the victims to give him the money that they received from their acts of prostitution. He was arrested by Schuette's Human Trafficking Unit in June 2015 after an investigation conducted by the Department of Homeland Security.
