ALLEN PARK, Mich. – An Allen Park High School swim coach was fired Thursday after police arrested him for allegedly exchanging sexual texts with a student.
Tyler Card has been charged with accosting children for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime. He turned himself in to police last week. He was arraigned and given a $50,000 personal bond.
Police said he's accused of engaging with inappropriate behavior with a 15-year-old female swimmer from February 2015 to March 2016.
Police said the Allen Park school board terminated Tyler Card after police said they found sexual texts between him and a student.
Card was the swim coach for the high school and middle school teams.
