BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – A 6-year-old girl who was unresponsive when she was pulled from a pool during a birthday party last week at the Beverly Hills Club has died.
The girl, whose name has not yet been released, had been hospitalized since the incident last Friday evening at the health club on Southfield Road.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the club said it follows all pool safety regulation and life guard guidelines required by Oakland County, and that a life guard was assigned to the party.
Birmingham schools said grief counselors will be available at the girl's school.
