PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 23-year-old Pittsfield Township woman was sexually assaulted by a man who forced his way into her apartment Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The attack happened after the woman answered a knock at her apartment door in the 4800 block of Washtenaw Avenue at about 12:30 p.m., police said.
The man sexually assaulted the woman and robbed her. She suffered minor injuries.
The only description of the man released by police is: a black man between 20 and 30 years old, 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 6 inches tall, and a medium build with a round face. He was also wearing black-rimmed glasses without lenses and smelled like cigarette smoke.
Police released the attached sketch (click here to view larger version) of a suspect on Thursday.
