DETROIT – Three people were found shot to death early Monday morning at a house on Detroit's west side.
The victims were found in the 6500 block of Brace Street just after 5:30 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing shots.
Two victims were found inside the house and one was outside on the side of the house, police said.
This is a known narcotics location. We’ve raided it twice, I believe, in the last month," said Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt.
Dolunt said there is evidence of forced entry into the house, and casing from an automatic handgun were found. He also said the victims appear to have been specifically targeted.
Police also have not released a description of anyone they might be looking for in connection to the shooting.
The victims
Police have not identified any of the victims, but people on the scene who said they were family members of one of the victims identified him as 25-year-old Deangelo Owens.
“I have to bury my nephew. It doesn’t make sense. I just can’t understand this," said Floyd Owens.
People on the scene also identified one of the victims as 15-year-old Jaden Dorris.
Several dozen people showed up to the scene, creating some chaos that required Detroit police to ask for help from Michigan State Police.
