DETROIT – The Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit will hold a prayer service Monday in response to the violence that left 49 dead and dozens injured early Sunday in Orlando, Florida.
The noon service, which will be held at St. Aloysius Church at 1234 Washington Blvd., will offer prayers for the victims, their families and all those affected by the mass shooting, and for an end to the hatred that has provoked horrific events in the world.

The prayer service will be immediately followed by the church's 12:15 p.m. Mass.
