DETROIT, MI – Five new vending machines are opening up across the city of Detroit. But these aren't your average vending machines -- they contain books, and they are 100% free.
The vending machines are part of JetBlue's "Soar with Reading" program. The program, which started in 2011, was created in order to ensure that Detroit schoolchildren have access to age-appropriate reading material, even when school is not in session.
