INKSTER, Mich. – A 49-year-old man was found shot to death Wednesday morning in the driveway of a home in Inkster.
Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw said residents in the area of Avondale and Meadowbrook streets called Inkster police at about 3:30 a.m. to report the gunshots. Inkster police officers searched the area, but didn't find anything.
The victim's body was then found three hours later when the sun came up.
“I peeped out the window and I just saw some legs. That’s when my wife called again, because she had called the first time,” resident Anthony Craig said.
Family has identified the victim to Local 4 as Louis Perry.
Shaw said the residents of the home were the victim was found weren't the ones who called police. The victim also didn't live in that home.
Shaw said police are questioning three people and canvassing the neighborhood.
“Don’t be surprised if an officer, if you live in this neighborhood, knocks on your door and asks you some questions. We know in these types of instances that somebody already knows what occurred out here and who the shooter is," Shaw said.
