Dad shot at dinner at home in Detroit

Man, 21, shoots father at dinner

DETROIT – A father was shot at dinner Sunday evening in Detroit, police said.

A 21-year-old man diagnosed with depression went into the home where his mother and father were eating dinner.

Marquise Cromer went upstairs and came down with a shotgun, then shot his 62-year-old father in the foot, police said.

While Cromer was trying to reload, the parents were able to escape the home.

Police are unsure how long it has been since he last took his medication.

Cromer was charged Tuesday with two counts of assault with intent to murder, firearms discharge in a building causing injury and felony firearm and is being held on $750,000 bail.
