Customer shot at crowded GameStop on Detroit's east side

28-year-old victim listed in critical condition

DETROIT – A customer was shot Saturday at a crowded GameStop on Detroit's east side, police said.

Four people entered the business on Gratiot Avenue, south of Eight Mile Road, around closing time and started stealing from behind the counter, police said. They took an undisclosed amount of money in addition to the items stolen.

The 28-year-old victim approached one of the thieves and was shot in the back. Police said the victim was listed in critical condition.

The store was crowded with customers at the time, police said.
