Judge: No bail for man accused in Detroit gas station homicide

DETROIT – A judge said Saturday that 26-year-old Joseph Lucas would be remanded to the Wayne County Jail after being charged with murder.

Lucas was initially taken into custody as a person of interest in the slaying of 22-year-old Javon Perry, who was shot while pumping gas at the Marathon gas station in the 15000 block of Gratiot Avenue.

Police also named 23-year-old Derrick Everson Jr. and 24-year-old Kyrell Raymond Alonzo as suspects in the slaying. They are still at large.
