ROCKWOOD, Mich. – A state police hometown security team K9 named Otto alerted state troopers on Jan. 4 to something suspicious in a vehicle that was stopped on I-75 for improper lane use on I-75.
Authorities said they let Otto perform a “free air sniff” around the vehicle, wherein he gave troopers the signal that something illegal could be inside.

During a search of the vehicle, troopers found $13,000 stashed in the center console.
Police said they are investigating whether the driver is involved in drug trafficking.
