BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Kellogg’s announced Wednesday that some 250 people would be laid off in North America and the majority of the impacted employees work in Battle Creek.
As part of a four-year global effort to “fuel growth through greater efficiency and effectiveness,” Kellogg’s says it is eliminating work that doesn’t drive the highest returns. The company also said it is removing duplication work between teams and creating “a more focused, efficient organization.”

Kellogg’s said it will help their impacted employees through these transitions, offering severance benefits and outplacement services.
