SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who stole a 2017 Lincoln MKC around 4:10 p.m. Feb. 20 during a test drive.

The man walked into the Star Lincoln Mercury dealership, at 24350 12 Mile Road in Southfield, and asked to test drive a 2017 Lincoln MKC, police said.

Police said the man gave a salesman a Michigan driver's license before the test drive. He never returned the car, and employees later discovered the driver's license was fake.

The car was found in Detroit later that evening missing major body and interior parts.

Police said the man will face several felony charges, including larceny by conversion and identity theft. He is described as around 50 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 240 pounds.
