DETROIT – We're approaching warmer months in Michigan, or as some call it, orange barrel season.
The Michigan Department of Transportation released a full map and list of upcoming minor and major road projects happening this year.

The biggest 2017 project has already started, as I-75 southbound is closed between Detroit and Downriver for the next two years.
Some of the other notable projects include:
- I-75: May-Sept: Reconstruct 3.1 miles of Coolidge Hwy to South Blvd, including Square Lake Rd interchange. 2 lanes open in each direction with temporary crossovers.
- Gratiot Ave: May-Aug: Resurface 3 miles, improve drainage and upgrade sidewalk ramps from 8 Mile to 11 Mile.
- I-75.M-10: April-Oct: Replace I-75 bridge deck and repair substructure over M-10, including ramps. I-75: closed for 3 weeks. M-10: lane and shoulder closures.
- Old M-14 (Plymouth Road): April-Sept: Resurface 4.8 miles from Farmington Rd to US-24. 1 lane open in each direction.
- Construction on Hall Road in Macomb County has begun. The 3.7-mile stretch is expected to be under construction for about a year and 1/2.
- US-23: Nov 2016-Dec 2017: Upgrade shoulders, replace and repair bridges, extend raps and resurface 10.5 miles from M-14 to Silver Lake Rd.
