The biggest 2017 project has already started, as I-75 southbound is closed between Detroit and Downriver for the next two years.

Here's some of the notable projects happening in the U.P. in 2017:

  • US-2/US-41/M-35: April 2017-Jan 2018: 1st year of 2-year project. Replace US-2/US-41/M-35 bridge over Escanaba River and E&LS Railroad bridge over US-2/US-41/M-35. 1 lane open in each direction.
  • US-2: May-Sept: Resurface 5.2 miles from Oss Rd to US-141 in Crystal Falls.
