Detroit Police Officers Association President Mark Diaz bound over to trial

CLARKSTON, Mich. – The head of the Detroit Police Officers Association Mark Diaz waived his preliminary hearing Friday morning and was bound over to trial. 

Diaz was arraigned last month on charges of reckless driving and destruction of property stemming from an incident in December in Holly.

Diaz, who is DPOA president, has been suspended without pay and is under an internal investigation.

He will stand trial in Oakland County circuit court. A trial date has not been set.
