GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. – A man is OK after driving his car into a Lake Saint Clair on Monday.
Police said the man was driving on Lake Shore Boulevard when he lost control and ended up in the lake. He escaped through the sunroof before the vehicle was completely submerged in the frigid water. He was helped to shore by two police officers who said the man was struggling to get back on land.
The officers managed to pull him out of the lake moments after they arrived. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for hypothermia, but he is expected to be OK.
