ANN ARBOR, Mich. – An ex-substitute teacher was sentenced Wednesday morning in what police call the largest child pornography bust in Michigan's history.

David William Huntley, 52, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years of probation after his release.
He must register as a sex offender and undergo sex offender diagnostic evaluations. Also, all of his residences must be approved by the probation department.
Huntley also is not to have contact with minors unless it is in the presence of a responsible adult who is aware of his background. He cannot go to places where children congregate, such as schools, playgrounds and toy stores.
Huntley told the judge he meant no harm.
“Your honor, I’m sorry that I acquired the child porn over the Internet," he said. "I did not want to harm anyone. I am sorry that I have harmed unknowingly those that are involved in this and I ask for your consideration."
He admitted to a number of incidents with children, separate of child porn offense. Contact with children included touching the penis of a 4-year-old boy, fondling a 10-year-old girl and giving sleeping aid to a 12-year-old girl.
He also admitted that he started looking at child porn in 1990. Prosecutors said he was involved in acts against children over a 20-year span.
