DETROIT – Three teenagers were injured and another teen has died after an argument turned violent near the old Steve’s Soul Food building on Grand River Drive on Detroit’s west side, according to police.
Police said the teens, a 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and two 18-year-old boys, were part of two groups who were shooting at each other from separate vehicles.
The 16-year-old victim who did not survive his injuries is the grandson of a former Detroit police captain who recently retired from the force.
Authorities are investigating.
