DETROIT – Surveillance video from a gas station on Detroit's east side shows a vehicle slam into a gas pump about 5:25 a.m. Thursday.
The driver then fled on foot. Video shows another person pumping gas when the crash happened at the station on Van Dyke between 7 Mile and 8 Mile Roads.

Police believe the driver who hit the pump was fleeing the scene of another crash on Outer Drive near Van Dyke where a car had rolled over. It's not known if the driver was injured in either crash. Video from the gas station shows the driver gather belongings from the vehicle before walking away.
Police are investigating and searching for the driver.
