VIDEO: Damaged valve causes water to shoot up from road in Westland

Water pressure likely affected in surrounding areas

A water valve break in Westland is shooting water from a sewer at the intersection of Cherry Hill and Wayne roads. 

According to the city of Westland, a Wayne County contractor damaged a water valve while doing some work at the intersection. The Great Lakes Water Authority is working to repair the valve. 

Meanwhile, water pressure in the area probably will be affected.
