"He can just get his stuff another day. And he can just go. But right now, tonight is not the night," she told the dispatcher.

The dispatcher asked for her name. She said, 'Ebony Byrom, for now."

"We had an argument. He is getting all his stuff. I just want him to leave before it escalates," she said.

Dispatcher: Any weapons in the home?
Ebony: There is.
Dispatcher: OK, where's the weapon at?
Ebony: They're in the bedroom.

She was shot 10 times.

"As our dispatcher was gathering the information, multiple shots were heard. Then the phone went dead," said Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham.

Ebony's 16-year-old son called 911 three minutes later.

"He indicated that he heard lots of gunshots, he opened his door and he saw his mother and stepfather on the ground," said Wickersham.

When Macomb County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home they found the woman and her 44-year-old husband lying on the floor with gunshot wounds. The teen was escorted out of the home by deputies. He was not injured.

Hal Byrom was treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was denied bond at his arraignment
