TRENTON, Mich. – An 11-year-old boy drowned Wednesday after falling into the Detroit River in Trenton.
Fire officials said the boy fell into the water at about 1 p.m. near the 2400 block of Riverside Drive and was unable to get out.
Firefighters, dive teams, border patrol and coast guard responded and the boy was pulled from the water about an hour later.
The boy was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
