3 Huron Valley Schools close due to potential environmental concern

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Huron Valley Schools closed three schools Friday due to a "potential environmental concern."

The schools were reopened Friday afternoon.

White Lake Township officials notified the district about a potential environmental concern to the Lakeland campus.

The district is closing Lakeland High School, White Lake Middle School and Lakewood Elementary School until further notice.

The pools and fitness facility at Lakeland High School were also closed.
