DETROIT – Thousands of residents in Metro Detroit are without power Tuesday after strong storms and heavy rain passed through Southeast Michigan.
As of 4:15 p.m., DTE Energy officials said around 11,000 customers are without power. Crews are working to restore power around Metro Detroit, DTE officials said.

The DTE Energy outage map shows a large outage of over 2,700 customers without power in northern Livonia. There's no estimate on when power will be restored.
There are also several hundred customers without power in the northern parts of Farmington Hills, the western parts of Southfield and the western parts of Clawson.
More than 1,400 customers are without power between Berkley and Lathrup Village, according to the outage map.
An outage in the heart of Harper Woods has left more than 600 people without power, DTE Energy's map shows.
There are also scattered outages in Dearborn Heights, Inkster and Highland Park.
