Livonia modeling agency owner charged with luring young girls for child porn

Ryan Ulman tells police he 'has problem with child pornography'

LIVONIA, Mich. – A Livonia modeling agency owner is accused of using his business to lure young girls for child pornography.

Agents arrested Ryan Ulman Monday at his home, and once inside, they determined he was in possession of child porn images. Federal officials believe the man's modeling agency is connected to a separate child sex trafficking ring.

Ulman is in federal custody on accusations of receiving and having child porn in his possession. Federal agents said they found the pornographic images inside his home on Milburn Street in Livonia.

Court documents show Ulman lived in the home and ran a a modeling agency called Instinct Entertainment.

Agents visited the home after uncovering a child sex trafficking operation in Flint by a gang called the Spanish Cobras. Officials said they found multiple juvenile sex-trafficking victims who were addicted to heroin and methamphetamines.

Investigators found Ulman used his modeling agency to entice girls, all under 18 years of age, to send him images of child pornography.

When federal officials raided the home, court records show they found multiple images of child erotica. Court documents show Ulman admitted "he has a problem with child pornography" and has looked at "hundreds of images." He said he prefers girls from 13 years old and up, according to officials.

Now police are trying to figure out how long Ulman ran the so-called modeling agency. They are investigating the scale of the child-porn probe.

Ulman appeared before a federal judge Tuesday and was detained until a detention hearing, which is scheduled for Friday.
