According to WFLA, the violence erupted after Shelley Gemberling, 49, and Alicia Scarduzio, 20, incited an argument with a female driver at a busy Pasco County intersection. They were upset that the woman wasn't driving fast enough.
Investigators said Gemberling and Scarduzio got out of their vehicle and approached the open driver's window. They then grabbed the victim by her hair and neck and pulled her out of the vehicle through the open window.
Detectives say the attackers beat the woman until she lost consciousness. She suffered a broken nose, among other injuries.
Gemberling and Scarduzio were arrested and charged with burglary and aggravated battery. They were booked into the Pasco County Jail.
