The first was Wednesday morning in Detroit where an explosion and fire completely destroyed the Street Royalty Motorcycle Club's building at Dexter Avenue and Webb Street.

Firefighters arrived to the smell of natural gas. DTE Energy workers rushed to shut off the gas line. It's unclear what caused the gas leak and what sparked the explosion. No one was inside the club at the time of the explosion. No injuries were report.

The Street Royalty club explosion and fire remains under investigation. The Michigan chapter of Street Royalty posted this statement to its Facebook page on Wednesday:

Thank you for the overwhelming amount of text messages and private messages. Everyone is safe and accounted for at this time. Unfortunately, due to fire we have completely lost our home and everything that we have worked so hard for. Please keep us in your prayers during this difficult time.

Two days later, on Friday morning, a fire erupted at the Scorpions Motorcycle Club in Lyon Township. Firefighters rushed to douse the flames at the barn-like structure, which was completely engulfed.

No injuries were reported at this fire. It's unclear what may have caused it. The investigation is underway.

The Scorpions club's chapter president said it appears someone used a mini excavator, such as a Bobcat, to break into the building to steal a safe.
