LANSING, Mich. – Michigan’s state police director met with the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus Thursday in the wake of a controversial social media post and called the meeting “productive.”
“I thought it was a productive dialogue,” Colonel Kriste Kibbey Etue said. “Obviously my comments on a personal Facebook post were very offensive and I am truly sorry. That was never my intent.”

Etue said there are a lot of issues in Michigan that needs to be dealt with and that she will remain focused in making Michigan a safer place.
“We have some work to do with our minority populations,” Etue said.
Etue said she would not resign and refused to take any other questions.
