The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino sent a heartfelt email to customers Monday morning, a week after a gunman opened fire from windows on the hotel's 32nd floor killing 58 people at a music festival on the Las Vegas Strip.

Meanwhile, authorities continue to seek a possible motive behind gunman Stephen Paddock's horrifying actions. Paddock, 64, killed 58 people and wounded close to 500 others attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival in the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. He was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his hotel room.
