DETROIT – Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced Monday he has received the endorsement of Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard in his campaign for governor.
"Whether it’s battling opioids or combatting human trafficking, Bill Schuette is at the frontline of the fight for Michigan," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. "I am confident Bill Schuette will continue fighting for justice as the next Governor of Michigan. Bill has my full support."

Bouchard currently leads one of the nation's largest Sheriff's offices, having previously served as Michigan State Senator and Majority Floor Leader.
"Bill Schuette's record of law and order is exemplary,” Bouchard continued. "Bill has been a valuable partner and leader in ensuring justice for all Michigan families by prosecuting criminals and improving the treatment for victims of these horrific crimes."

Schuette's campaign is endorsed by President Donald Trump and local conservative leaders such as Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller, former Governor John Engler, Congressman John Moolenaar, Congressman Dave Trott, and Michigan's Republican National Committeewoman Kathy Berden.
