Michigan State Police: Party bus crash sends 18 to hospital

GRANT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Michigan State Police say 18 people were taken to the hospital after a party bus crash in West Michigan on Saturday night.

WOODTV reports the crash happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of 22 Mile Road NW and Peach Ridge Avenue in Grant Township.

Michigan State Police said the bus ran a stop sign, before swerving off the road and into a ditch.

WOODTV reports 12 of the passengers were taken to Spectrum Butterworth hospital where they are in stable condition. Six other passengers were taken to St. Mary’s hospital where they were treated and released.

The driver of the bus was not injured, according to MSP. The crash remains under investigation.
