LYNDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A postal worker was killed Wednesday afternoon when her own mail truck struck her in Lyndon Township.
Michigan State Police troopers responded to a report of a fatal collision involving Tracy Sylo, a U.S. Postal Service carrier.
Investigators said Sylo had parked her truck at the top of a driveway on Lake Road and got out. The vehicle somehow started to roll down the driveway and struck Sylo, pinning her between the truck and a metal guardrail, officials said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
