Evrod Cassimy: It's hard when mornings start out this way. Multiple shootings across the city of Detroit. It’s even worse when there are children involved.

Tuesday started out like any other morning. Our producers gave us the rundown of stories we were covering in the show. The search for a missing boater was the main thing going on.
Then, out of nowhere we learned a woman had been shot and killed.
Later we would find out more people had been shot at a different location including a child.
After that there was a fire in Sterling Heights. This morning went from zero to 100 real quick as our assignment desk, producers and reporter on the scene worked to gather more information.
There was a happy ending to at least one of those stories. The missing boater was found safe. That’s why we’re smiling this morning. Those situations don’t always end that way. People always ask me how we deal with such tragic news so often. Well, some days are easier than others. Today isn’t one of those easy days. But we’ll keep smiling and praying for an end to violence everywhere.

Wednesday looks nice most of the day here in SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario, while parts of Western Michigan and the UP will see showers and storms firing during the day. Some of those storms will be on the strong side.
We will see highs near 90°F as the humidity slowly creeps up and that will destabilize the air around us setting us up for showers and storms near and after dinner time tomorrow.

All Morning -- Remembering Auto Legend Lee Iacocca
Auto legend Lee Iacocca left an indelible mark on the auto industry in Detroit. He died in his sleep Tuesday of complications of Parkinson's disease at age 94. Wednesday, this funeral will be held.
Funeral: 11 a.m. July 10 at St Hugo in the Hills Church in Bloomfield Hills.
